This being said, a more authentic and innovative party scene can be found in Phuket Town, where you’ll find some amazingly authentic Thai food and surprisingly flavorful Western food. Suay and Raya are definitely the favorites among those who teach English in Phuket.

This getaway island with white sand beaches and an abundant nightlife, has so much more to offer than just typical tourist trap areas like Patong. The island is host to a large expat community where it is not difficult to find friends and TESOL teachers alike. There are an array of international schools to choose from, which are the easiest places to find employment. It is best for those planning to teach English in Phuket to seek out jobs between March to June and then again in September to October.
