OnTESOL’s 10th Anniversary!

Ontesol reviews ontesol TESOL certification coursesThis year we celebrate our 10th anniversary! OnTESOL was launched in 2003 to offer high quality TESOL training in an online format. Our first course was a 200-hour TESOL certificate, which was developed using Coventry House International’s 5-week Trinity CertTESOL/TESL Canada Standard 1 syllabus. This course was later upgraded to a 250-hour TESOL Diploma in order to qualify for TESL Canada Professional Standard 2 accreditation. This program has been adopted by many Canadian language schools who trust OnTESOL to train their teachers, and has gained great popularity throughout the world, especially in countries like Japan, Hong Kong, Germany,  and United Arab Emirates.

In 2009, OnTESOL launched a core 100-hour TESOL certificate for people who seek affordable teacher training to qualify for entry-level positions worldwide. This program is especially popular in the United States, Canada, and Australia with candidates who seek a gap-year teaching position in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Costa Rica, Argentina, or Chile, which are the major ELT destinations in Asia and Latin America.

OnTESOL has grown at a steady and firm pace of 50% per year since 2007. Our success is based on maintaining the highest standards in teacher training by combining an excellent curriculum with professional tutor support.

As a pioneer in online teacher training, Ontesol faced many challenges in the early days when online teacher training was deemed low quality. Our goal was to become the leader in online teacher training, thus we doubled our commitment with the 250-hour TESOL Diploma in order to offer a program that is more comprehensive than any 4-week course, including CELTA, and maintain the same professionalism as the initial RSA courses. With our current growth rate and the recent development of an online CELTA course, we are very close to achieving our position as a market leader in the global TESOL/TEFL industry.

This year, we are committed to launching new specialist programs at discount prices. Trainees who register in the 250-hour TESOL Diploma before January 11th receive the 60-hour TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) for free (Value of $199). Click on TESOL courses for more information.
