ACTDEC UK Accreditation

Coventry House International-OnTESOL has been an ACTDEC member since 2007. We chose ACTDEC because they are the only accrediting organization established to raise the standards of distance and online TESOL/TEFL/TESL courses.

In order to receive ACTDEC accreditation, institutes must go through a rigorous evaluation process in which they check the level of the course material and assignments, the qualifications and experience of teacher trainers and office staff, and the advertising claims.

‘Why ACTDEC? ‘

ACTDEC is an internationally recognized accreditation that shows employers the teacher completed a quality online TESOL / TEFL course. Teachers get a certificate from the school provider and a second certificate from ACTDEC when they register with them.

About ACTDEC UK Accreditation

ACTDEC was established in 1993 by a group of online TESOL/TEFL institutes from the United Kingdom. Today there are nine accredited members from different countries, who collaborate to raise the standards of the industry.

Every year, ACTDEC members meet in the UK to discuss educational and administrative matters, as well as vote on different decisions. ACTDEC members have full access to the organization’s expenses and this accountability enables the organization to remain independent.

Another way that ACTDEC remains an independent accrediting organization is that accredited members elect the Council (The Chair of ACTDEC, Secretary and Treasurer) on an annual basis.
